The Additional 40 mtpy plant aims at increasing the iron ore production (hematite with 62-65% Fe) of VALE Northern System at 40mtpy, expanding the capacity of the current production in 40%, increasing from 100 to 140 mtpy with the implementation of BSMV, Secondary and Tertiary Crushing, Surge Yard, Screening, Storage Yard, Shipping and Loading. The dry operation of ROM ore will be processed. The project is currently with 99.9% of physical progress and the implementation at the site with 75% completed.
